Hi guys,
This is just a simple question really. I have a laptop and a M-Audio Firewire 410. The laptop only has the small firewire ports and doesn't have enough power the 410 by itself without being plugged into a wall.
My question is. If I get a PCMCIA firewire card for my laptop with the bigger firewire ports(6pin). Will that card support the Firewire 410 with enough power for me not to have the 410 plugged into tha wall? The Firewire 410 pulls 12 volts according to the power pack.
Cos i mean it advertised as a travelling interface and I guess it would be silly if you couldnt use it in that way seems most laptops only have the small firewire ports.
Thanks in advance.
