Firewire DACs Question

I was taking a look at the PreSonus Firepod, and I noticed that there were 8 inputs while there are only 2 firewire plugs. Are those enough to channel all 8 inputs into the computer at the same time, or can they only channel a few?

I'm guessing that they can channel all of them, but just checking.

Yes, with lots of bandwidth to spare.

Only one of the connectors goes to the computer. The other one can be used to connect another FireWire device, like a disk drive.
