Yeah, that was the answer I was after. Thank you. So a Firewire PCMCIA Cardbus with a TI controller chip should cover my needs for all the Firewire Audio Interface device's out there or just most of them ?

Thank you for your help dgatwood, It is most appreciated....

It will definitely take care of anything that doesn't require bus power, and all the interfaces that I'm aware of that run on bus power also come with a power adapter to power them if your computer doesn't have bus power. Thus, my inclination would be to say "all interfaces". Don't quote me on that, though. :D

From "Properties" of my OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller:

Device: IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers
Manufacturer: IEEE 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller Vendor

Yay.
My chipset must be CYRIX

Thanks dgatwood....Now on to the search for a TI Firewire Cardbus. I've seen many TI Cardbus's on the internet, some with dual Firewire ports and some with more and of coarse the price's vary. Is there a preferred brand name I should be looking for and should I stay away from the cheaper one's even though they have the TI Chipset ?

Thanks Again....
