firepod for everyday use?

is it possible to use the presonus firepod for everyday use, like just listening to music and stuff rather than using it just for recording?

If it has outputs and you have something to handle those outputs, then yes. I use my Delta 1010 for all audio output.

you can use your computer to play whatever & have it go through the monitors. but i'm not sure why you'd want to?

Yup, you should. It probably gets better quality sound to you than your regular sound card. I use my interface for everything as well.

When I'm sitting at my computer I just stick my headphones into the firepod and everything sounds good. You just have to set the pod as your primary soundcard

I use my US122 for the only soundcard on my PC. Should work for you, too.

hmmmm, because playing CDs through my PC/Delta 44->Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro->Tannoy Actives sounds MUCHO better than the built-in soundcard playing through $15 PC speakers
