How do I get rid of it? It's driving me @#%$ CRAZY!!!! I've tried EQ, Deesser and rerecording it after getting my hand wet under hot water for a few minutes. That helped the most so far but still isn't ideal. The first take had the best feel and was the best overall recording but unless I can get rid of the squeek, I have to redo it. HEEEEEEEELP MEEEEEEEE!

Here's a sure fix, put the mic in a mic stand and keep your fingers off of it while recording. :)

What kind of strings are you using? Elixers can slow it down.

Oops, I thought it was a mic, not a guitar. I'm sorry, I must be on the wrong message board again, lol.

Next time you file you finger nails, save the finger nail power and use it on your guitar strings to help keep the noise down. And no, I'm not kidding.

Try finger-ease. If that doesn't work, just for jollies, try a set of flat wound strings. Depending on your style, it could work. Or not.- Richie

i wa once told talcum powder, never tried it myself, but seems logical.... personally i like a little squeak now and then
