Well, here's my completed studio project that's been in the works for a very long time. Once the wife issued the "building permit", I was off to the races. I've still got acoustic treatment to complete and most notable, the giant hole in the wall that's open to the downstairs living room to fill but generally speaking, this is it. Even as it is, it's pretty cool for me.

Just saw Y&T here in Denver. Dave still has every bit of his voice still. :)

Oh, and nice phone.

You need another mic for the 4th speaker in the Marshall cab. :thumbs up:

Alan.

WOW, my finger is tired now from all the scrolling?

Edit; very brave carpet choice!

Looks great! What are those mic stands attached to your amps?

Oh yeah, then you already know he's one of the most underrated musicians ever. Always on his game and gives 100%.
And thanks, I love the phone too. Since it's a hard line type, I only set it on the desk to test the line in the room and new it had to stay. It just seems too perfect.

I ran across these about a year ago and love 'em. Griffin is the brand. They just BARELY fit but once it's secure, you don't have to mess with mic position again.

Those are definitely cool. Now I've got that damn itchy Amazon trigger finger again...

Although it appears that the one that you linked to is no longer available. I do see the CabGrabber by Audix, and the Amp Clamp. Same idea, slightly different approaches. I think I need a couple :)

Very nice. I like the Kramer, always wanted one....

Thanks on the Kramer. Here's a better shot just after I finished installing the Petruchi pickups and gold hardware...

Blue and gold would not have been my first choice, but it sure does look nice now that I see it.

I have a sub under my desk also. When you get to doing the acoustic treatment, don't forget to add something behind the subs.

Awesome. I must resist as I need acoustic treatment more, but it's definitely on my never-going-to-be-able-to-afford-a-car-or-a-house list.

Don't ever give up! When I was 28, (1988), I had two kids and soon had one more; I gave up on Music and sold all of my gear because my resources and responsiblities were required elsewhere. I didn't play for 13 years and did all of the things I was supposed to do; and don't regret if for a minute.

When my oldest son turned about 16, he showed interest in the old acoustic I kept laying around and then it was off to the races - that was back in 2001.

Since then, I've found myself very fortunate to have the resources to resume persuing my dream and now build this. I know I'll never fill a 50,000 seat stadium and be the rockstar I wanted to be, but I'm doing what I love and know that in due time, and with patience, I'll have fun doing it. Like the night in 2003 when I played in the band Y&T; 15 years after I sold off all my gear... :guitar:

Don't give up!

That's very reassuring. Thanks man! I don't really need a car or a house at the moment since my job is a bike ride away. A house would be better than the place I'm renting right now since it is a basement apartment which doesn't allow me to make a lot of noise. I'll keep at it and see how it goes :)
