The two parts don't "transition" too well for me, each has its strengths but part 2 is richer.... The panning on headphones sounds good. The bass is a wee loud maybe.
I'd definitely retrack this if you have the time. It's a keeper.....

Nice song man.

The bass sounded okay to me, maybe it could have been slightly more defined, sharper, but not a big deal. The drums sounded a bit tinny to me, more of problem then the bass in my opinion. I read quickly.

Dude. I'm kind of tired while I'm listening and writing, but from what I hear through my Rokit 8's, I really, really like. The drum sound captured is really hi-fi. Nice and clear sounds. Given that this is only a stereo mix and vocals, loads of kudos. The meld together very, very well. The mix sounds nice and organic, and flows like the music does. The drums seem to come in and out, and ... Yeah... I really like it. Nice bright high-end and the lows come through nice and clear.

Really enjoyed it, man. Keep em' coming.

Love it man. Almost has an Elliot Smith vibe. Just my humble opinion but I wouldn't touch it.

Idol: Thanks for the listen. I think I'm going to probably just let this one lie as is. The transitioning of the parts was an experiment I wanted to try, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Laz: Hmmm ... that's interesting. I think the snare is louder than I would have liked. I don't think I really even got to EQ the drums before I did the rough mix of the instruments. I definitely would have EQ-ed the drums a bit. Thanks for the input!

Poetic: Thanks! :)

Track Rat: That's interesting. I've definitely listened to some Elliot Smith, but I wasn't thinking about him for this song at all. Thanks for the listen!
