This past Saturday I purchased a Phillips 775 and 765
c/d recorders for $100 from friend who was having a "I need rent money sale!" The 775 is brand new in the box and the 765 was 8 months old. Now I'm no true fan of Philip recorders as I burn down to a Plextor,but you can't beat the price for 2 recoders @ 100.00.
Question;
The instructions for the 775 was in the box but not the 765,
so, on the 765,how does 1 finalize,unfinalize and erase?
Operation of 775 is different than the 765.
Thx.
(And yes, I did preform a "SEARCH") :)
Thx

To finalize - press "finalize" and then "record"
Unfinalize - press "erase" 2 times until TOC shows on display and then "record"
Erase - you can erase either the last track or entire disk (CDRW only). Press "erase" to toggle either "ERA" on display (erase last track) or "Disk" (erase entire disk, duh!) and hit "record".

For all the above commands, you only have a couple seconds to hit record or the machine resets itself.

Below is a PDF file of the 765 manual.
