i recorded a song on my standalone multitrack and mixed it down to cd.

now i want to put it in my computer and master it with soundforge.

well.

apparently i have to convert it to a .wav file to get it into soundforge.

so i downloaded some "ripper" software programs to convert my song to a .wav file.

i have tried 2 diff. rippers and they BOTH have ADDED audible GLITCHES!!!!!!!!!!

when i listen to the wav files i can hear that they are facked up in little places.

is there no end to life's hassles? what shall i do?

I use MusicMatch Jukebox to record wav files from my outboard recorder(and to rip from my CD player). It works fine. The only time Ive ever noticed that I had any glitches is when something else is running on the puter at the time Im Recording the signal from my multitrack or CD player.

Do you have any other programs running when you are recording the wav file from your recorder?Screen saver?Browser?mail program?Anything? All those things will cause audible glitches if they are running during the ripping session.

[Edit to add Cd player.]
