Hi,
I recently bought a used Fender Mexican Jazz Bass. It was hardly used and was only about a year or two old at most. I don't think it is a normal j-bass though. It says, "Offset Custom Body" on the headstock, and the "made in mexico" text is on the back of the headstock instead of the front. It has a dark sunburst finish with a ruby red crackle/cellunoid pick guard.
Does anyone know what makes this different from the regular maxican j-basses if at all and how much would something like this have cost new?
Thanks a lot,
