Anyone else had a chance to test drive this Strat?
GC had 3 of them on the wall. and one other on the used wall.
The $1600+ tag ($1400 on a "new-used" one) is up there.
I was excited to see this guitar in person, after reading several articles.
The EJ is possibly one of the most thought thru signature series imo.
It had many features I don't understand though.
1) the single ply pickguard showed bow/gap? seems a 3-ply doesn't do that.
why the single ply?
2) no back plate- springs exposed.
3) older style tuning gears, not the new ones like the 60th anniversary guitars, looked like the old style.
in this store they're selling about 1qty a month, the GC dewd said.
any inputs for this EJ signature welcome. a friends ready to buy one soon.
hopefully someone has had one for awhile.
of course like all strats their gorgeous!
