great stuff again.. there were some end sounds that sounded just like the ones I used on my last tune.. the sound is great.. man those claps sound good.. I really like the lyrics, and that solo was perfect.. more solo please.. I love when the drums come in.. This is some more very cool stuff Tom.. I'm left not really knowing what to say after this one.. and that is rare..

I'll have to think about this one a bit longer.. The only thing I can say is it sounds great.. I thought I heard a clip or two, but maybe it's me..

excellent..

great song, great arrangement, killer mix
this is one I will definitely save.
I'm impressed the claps sound so good-I just recently tried recording handclaps & they came out sounding terrible-way too thin.

JMarcomb- Little different style then the one we just did eh? :D Glad you dug it... I'll check out "Project 12" tonight brothah.

Participant (And Guernica)- If you listen closely in the first few seconds, you can almost hear someone say "fart noise." Purely coincidental. :D

Sam- There is some clipping. I got lazy and put all the kit tracks into one track, thus relinquishing control. But I'll fix it in no time. Just wanted to get the ideas down. And as for the similar sounds- it's no coincidence...I simply copied your wave file into my project. So much easier when I can just steal from you. ;)
Actually that ending was done about a month ago- I was going to do a Halloween CD for the party we're having. I never finished it, but thought the section would complete the story here.

Coplinger- Thanks for checkin this out. Hand claps- I had never tried it before, but what I did was set two condensor mics about 4 feet apart and centered myself about 3 feet away. I recorded two stereo tracks this way and left them dry. Man were my hands fucking sore after that! I did something similar with the pots and pans. I set two pots on the rug and used a fishing line to hang a big lid from the suspended ceiling grid. Grabbed a couple wooden spoons and started banging away :D...if you listen closely you can hear the lid smacking one of the mics- I left it. I like flaws.

Awesome man, very organic and brutal at the same time. Like a galloping llama on acid melting through the pissy green earth.

Cool claps and rythym stuff. I like flaws too. perfection is boring. It seems like every demo I do keeps me chasing that energy on the final recording...rarely works for me.

Great job diverting bad feelings.

Great as usual. I love your style of music. Very different.
And your production talents are superb.

Really cool stuff!
Talk about a groove!:D

Great singing and mix,just excellent!
I dig the lyrics, makes you listen closely so as not to miss anything.

Glad you put off packing!:D

Really enjoyed it,thanks.

Pete

Whoah... kewl shit here man.... Psychadelic.........shit... must sleep now.. getting sleepy...............

now that I have digested this song a bit longer, let me say it is great.. As soon as it starts, that first vocal melody is brilliant... the sound your getting now is top notch too.. Between this and the JMarcomb collab, it shows that your consistently hitting them right over the fence!

Wait a minute, you changed the ending?!!??!!

this sounds superb man...definitely my favorite of all of the stuff I have heard from you.

(i have listened to a lot of it and enjoyed it...but, this more than the others).

i agree that it sounds like a movie track...diggin it.

very good use of percussion, nice huge clean mix...sweet.

i'm sure you've been over this before but what are you recording/mixing with?

jake-owa- It just happens I was in fiact riding a llama when I wrote this ;) Thanks man!

djc- thanks for the listen. It's a strange style most of the time, but I gotta do it...

muzeman- Glad you dug the lyrics. I'm not always sure if my words would make sense to anyone else, but they do to me. Thanks muzeman.

ZPphreak- Wake up!

B.SABBATH- Not sure what you mean about the ending bro. I haven't done anything with this since before I started moving! PM me?

wes480- Hey bro thanks. My gear includes Sonar 2.0XL for software, Delta 66/Omni I/O, Bheringer B2 and Oktava MC012's for condensors, SM57, SM58, SP VTB-1 pre's, and Korg Triton. This one also featured some fine custom crafted wooden spoons, and only the latest in cookware technology.
Problem is the better my gear gets, the more my voice stands out! But I love movie soundtrack elements. I don't feel comfortable with pop arrangements usually. I'm a big Danny Elfman fan!

EDIT: We can let this die now...just wanted to catch you last guys. Thanks again!

This totally reminds me of something I've heard before. Oh yeah, Dude Looks Like a Lady. Same lick, same everything.

:D

Seriously, really cool, very quirky, for some reason puts me in the mind of that guy called "E", or Mitchell Froom, those guys, I see you mentioned Danny Elfman, I see that for sure. He's quirky, but a bit more synthy sounding, which I don't personally like, but...

Anyway, sounds great!

I see your thread is dead, but I just thought I'd pop in.
