fd-8 off and on

i own a fostex fd8 and sometimes when im recording it will shut off all by its self and turn back on over and over. it dose that to me untell i cut it off. i have no idea why. can any body tell me why? or how to fix it.

Sorry, can't help you. I have an fd-8, but never had that problem. I'm sure by now you have contacted FOSTEX- I bet THAT was fun... kmar

What do you have it plugged into? Is it a surge protector or a multi-jack plug? Sounds like it might be something other than your Fostex........
