Favourite alternative use for Rode NT1

Sorry if I offended your musical taste, Gidge. To me Europe were just one large hairdryer hooked up with triple Marshall stacks.

But this thread was about NT-1 I recall. Sorry Meshuggah, haven't used it. But I suppose any mic has its use sooner or later. Blue Bear admitted in another thread that for one particular recording, he actually used the MXL2001 that everybody seems to be hating so much (I haven't heard that myself either since Marshall Electronics have no distribution over here).

now, what was this thread about again?....micing farts?....

oh yes...I have to correct myself....I think S8-N mic'ed that fart with either a sm57 or a c1000......I think it would depend on the fart whether or not the NT1 would do ok...if its a honker type fart it will probably do ok...but if its one of those wet, flappy ones, it may be too harsh.....but well worth a try....

Yeah, but you could always "warm-up" the signal w/ some outboard gear. :D
 
What are your favourite effects when recording farts? Some smooth compression goes without saying, but after that? A nice cathedral reverb? Maybe even some flanger? Do you use a pitch corrector to get it in key or do you just leave it as it is?

theres always Anteres Autotune but thats a crutch...you have to practice proper intonation with your farts and mic technique......
