lol jk at the kill myself.

Ive been trying everyday for about 4 weeks to record proper vocals. Unfortunately im cursed with sticking to fl studio and audacity to record vocals which is literally a nightmare. My tracks are mixed and mastered to an approriate level so theres no boo boo there.
I wanted to get logic since im a lot familiar with it coz i used to do Music Tech in school, but i dont have a mac now lol.
The thing with vocals is i get a clean input and theres little noise. But since i have a shitty pentium D cpu it literally rapes CPU when one of my DAWs are on and sounds like its about to take off like a plane. What freq is this btw and how do i remove this?
Plus when i turn the gain of my preamp, my sm58 mic picks up any noise even a goddamn fly!?! And so when i speak/sing in it, the voice is in the centre but since there is gain (no clippin i checked) my vocals sound funny (you might know what i mean). I normally stand about 6 -10 inches away coz of the gain. If i lower the gain when i record, the peaks will be microscopic and sound horrible when compressed. So i must increase the gain on my DMP3 coz increasing it from my sound card is out of the question (i keep it zero but it still makes slight sparkling noises..).
All the good music i composed aint good with the lyrics i wrote when i cant even record proper vocals so i annoys so much that i almost broke my pc.
I could go to the recording studio but im relatively new to it. I live in the UK and close to London. And you know what that means = expensive studio time:(
Im literally living on my savings i saved since i was 13 so i got bout $2700 left (from pocket money over the years).

Sorry for the long post:)

Somethings wrong with your system if you record a clean sound but it comes back noisy. Need to track the source of the noise. Do you have everything shut off on your computer except for the software? Have you tried Reaper? (It's free to d/l).
