External Microphone for recording dance concert (High Bass)

Howdy First time on this forum. I just bought the cannon Powershot SX40 HS and went to go see Deadmau5 live. The microphone could not handle the thumping of the bass, so I bought the Zoom H1. Any tips on this microphone? What levels should I be using? Or an other EXTERNAL microphone I can use to capture the bass. Note It can not be a plug in microphone because my camera does not have a input.

I think making bootleg recordings is illegal in most countries. Just so you know.
