Is it possible to take multiple tracks imported to wav manager, mix them down on something like cakewalk or ntracks, making a single wav and then export back to mr8 on a single track. Do I rename the wav as a track? ex. tr01.wav open it in wav manager and export it to MR8? Just a theory I haven't tried yet. I thought I'd ask you guys first. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks Pat

Definitely possible. I've only done it by editing the .adl file, but wav manager is probably easier.

It just needs to be a mono wav. and, of course rename it as you stated.

You know I've wondered about that myself... problem being that when you do something like that, it creates a stereo .wav file. You may be able to go to 5/6 or 7/8 with it, but having never tried, I don't know for sure.

In the case of 5/6 and 7/8, you would make 2 mono wav files (i.e. left would be tr05, and right would be tr06) from the stereo wav, and name them tr05, etc.
You could just do a single mono file, and put it at, say track 5, but there wouldn't be any balance, and it would be in the left speaker only.
What I've done is made stereo mixes (in clubtracks, of the basic rhythm guitar, percusion, etc, including the counts in, etc,) and used 7/8 as the place I put them, that frees up the 4 mono and the 5/6 stereo tracks, which, when they get used, I import them (1-6, leaving 7/8 intact), and continue to use the tracks over. Then, when everything is recorded, I go back to the computer, and do the final mix on it.

Thanks for the advice guys. That's why I come here first. Pat
