Does anyone have experience exporting tracks from a DP01 to a computer?
I am looking for a logical sequence of steps as the Tascam manual does not have any.
Attempts so far seem to make tracks disappear from DP01 without appearing on the computer..

Wish I had some help to give, or that someone who can answer this would respond-I'm having this problem myself.

The manual has a well-organized layout for this procedure starting at the bottom of page 43. Basically it's done in two main stages; first you select the tracks and copy them to the FAT partition. Then you connect the DP01 to your PC, open the USB connection, and transfer the tracks to the computer.

What kind of output does the DP01 have? If there is a line output or however it outputs the sound, you would normally connect that output to the line-in of the sound card of the computer.

I use Sound Forge to record taped audio to my PC and save the audio in MP3 format (since it's smaller). Using SF again I transfer them to CD using Roxio Easy Media Creator.

The problem with transfering audio from PC to CD is making sure the volume is relatively the same for each of the selection before transfering to CD. Works great.

The DP-01 series use a USB connection. Basically you copy the tracks to the DP-01's internal FAT partition, then connect the unit to the computer with the USB cable. The unit then appears as a removeable drive, and you can copy the files from the FAT partition to the computer's hard drive.

So you don't use the audio outs or the soundcard in.
