Evil Obsession (New Tune)

I have some new electronic beats I’d appreciate your opinion on. The track is called "Evil Obsession".

It’s still in the outline stage for the most part, and the production is rough. A lot of tracks are just panned down the middle, and it also needs more thematic elaboration. But, I think the beats are real fucking solid. Let me know that you think.

Fuck Yeah Barefoot....... This is what I'm talkin about..... real good electronica right here....... Lovin this barefoot........ this is why we need more electronica cats........ enough blowin a load about it...hehehehe


the mix is aight I agree maybe some touchin up...but I think its right on point barefoot....... The rhythm and whole vibe is off the chain though realgood work man keep em comin:D :D

I don't know much about electronica, but I can appreciate good music for good music no matter what genre it is in......


I think that if you wanted to you could very easily compose the music for some movie soundtracks(they would have to be action movies though......which is good because action movies usually do well at the box office)

I haven’t had access to my monitors lately, so I’ve been mixing with headphones. It really doesn’t work. I was able to run my laptop through my stereo last night and make a few level adjustments. Damn, some things were really out of whack. Of course, I changed a few other things this morning on the train with headphones, so I probably fucked it all up again. Anyhow, the updated file is posted.

I've been waiting to listen to this. I like this alot. The drums in the beginning before the song really gets going are tight as hell, that offbeat snare pattern is phat!!! I like the changes you're doing throughout. I like the samples you used. The ethnic/Indian sounding vox is badass. The synth programming is tight as well. Well done.

Listening to I.L.T.S now. There you go with the crazy drum patterns again. Tight. That bass instrument is weird I think, but phat I know.

Funny that after several years of being a mediocre guitar player I’ve finally found my calling as a drummer – an electronic drummer that is. :D

I’m glad to hear you also like my synth "programming". I don’t actually sequence the synth parts in the normal sense. I play and record them, then arrange them in Acid. My keyboard skills are pathetic, so I have to do a lot of editing. Now with Acid 4.0 I might start doing some actual midi sequencing.

Yes, I do remixes. I play out occasionally and do a combination of remixes and originals… mixed 'live' on the computer. But I’m trying make more set more and more original material as I write more music.

I didn't like at first cuz I just woke up and it was putting me back to sleep.:)

I forgot to stop it from playing ( I got my player set to repeat). Shit grew on me cuz I wasn't listening real hard. Shit just playing in the background while I punched at the keys. Whenever I did realize it was playing it always sounded better.

Still a little too boring for me but it's not meant to be a GET CRUNK!!!!! beat eh.

So I likes it. It's tight if I wanna run from the French police or rob a bank in the middle east. Ya know soundtrack type shit.

I think it takes too long for the song 2 get going.

Not bad, though. Not bad at all.

The outline for the whole song is actually about 6min 30sec. What I have posted is a condensed version. You probably won’t dig the full version because this style of song does tend to evolve slowly.

It's a nice track on it's own, but a decent MC would really crush that.
