This seems to be the best place to post, so...

I am a musician, and I write and record my own music. I’ve finally decided that I should make this work for me because it’s the only thing I love to do, and while I’ve been fine just burning CDs for my friends; I need to know how to take this to the next level, that is making and packaging good CDs that could be sold over the internet. I’m small time and I’m not interested in amazingly glitzy packaging, and this is ‘lo-fi’ music, but I still would like some level of professionalism in my presentation, I just have NO IDEA how to go about it.

I know this is a generalized sort of question, but if anybody could just at least get me something to get started from, I’d be very appreciative.

Well, the links you fellas gave me showed me where to start my search; though it may be a bit before I actually have a physical CD to put out. I'm in the recording process. It's not new material, so it's not taking too long, and I finally got another recording space (I lost my old one due to complications), so things are going right along schedule.

Heck, I'm actually excited. By the way, I've been a long time lurker and I have to say this is a great forum; keep it up, guys.
