1. which one should i choose and why?
2. how much are their suggested retail price? how much are their street price?
3. how do they compare to the event 20/20bas?
4. how do they compare to other biamplified monitors in the same price range?
5. how is their sound and accuracy?

thanks in advance for the info!

cheers,
jack

IMO always choose the 'biggest' speakers your budget allows you, you'll *always* hear a difference in larger speakers (extended frequency range).

[... that's why I decided yesterday on Genelec 1031 instead of 1030 :D :D :D ... can't wait to have them ]

The 20/20 are about $800 a pair. I dont like them because they have way too much low end.

I have not heard the Ps8's but they also have a 8" woofer like the 20/20's.

I have heard the Ps6's for $520 a pair, and I thought they sounded better then the 20/20's.

I have not heard the Ps5's, I'm sure they are not as good as the Ps 6's.

Mackie's are great but very expensive. Genelec's are basiclly the pro studio standard, but also expensive.

i OWN A PAIR OF PS6 AND LOVE THEM. they have just the righ amount of low end for me but you know to each his own. I get all my mids and highs just as clear as ever. just my honest opinion

The Event PS-series are good monitors.... BUT - I've found them too forgiving especially in the midrange detail. They sometimes gloss over problems in that band of the audio spectrum....

I changed from PS-6s to KRK V8s for that very reason....
