Event 20/20 P?

I'm looking into buying some monitors for my home recording studio. I've found a site selling Event 20/20 P monitors. I'm not sure what these are, since the Event site gives only PS5, 6, and 8. The description says that these are active monitors, but the two 100 W power amplifiers for both monitors are located in one of the monitors and cabled to the other. What is the opinion of the experts on these? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, but first of all, how do you know what price is being asked? Secondly, which Event 20/20 model has both amplifiers in one monitor? I looked on the event web site, but I couldn't find this tid-bit of information.
 
perhaps by 20/20p they are meaning the 20/20bas? I'm not quite sure, but they have more than just the PS series listed on the site:

(Oh, and about his "knowing what the price is"....he technically doesn't know what the store you're talking about is sellin em for, but generally for the price they are usually sold at they are a good deal. in their price range they are kickass, in other words. :)
 
20/20p are both powered by a single amp in the right cabinet ... 20/20bas are bi-amped. 20/20p were the first in that series to get discontinued, I think (although I don't know why). Both are really good and accurate monitors.
I got the 20/20p for about $500 new 3 years ago. Thats was a good price, imo. If you're getting them used, get the seller to agree to let you audition them, first (or have a good return policy). Thats a must with any monitor ... unless they're so cheap that it's justified to get them fixed, if needed.
 
event 20/20 p help needed

BigKahuna and secretorchard. Do you know where i can source the left monitor for the 20/20 p powered in good condition? I have the right side with amp but i need to replace my left monitor. Could you post the link or contact where i can get one

My Dad died in August 2001. But he was alive when this thread started !
