all up in yo grill!
i think i caught something about them on here one time before but cant remember where i saw it....i looked at these things on americanmusical.com and it says their 22lbs each....sounds like their heavy enough to be good....but i'd like opinions on them...I've never heard them before

I dont think they are widely used anymore with so many on the market now, but they have been around awhile.
There definantly not at the top of the list.

ook

so what is a better pair for 300 bucks?

I auditioned a pair in the studio here and did a mix on them. That mix translated VERY well. I had the passives. As far as I am concerned, they are a wonderful tool for mixing. They kicked my NS 10m's ass by a long shot. I have a pair on my short list of things I have to get soon.

Maybe you should ask this in the Event Electronics Forum.
It says it's there to "Talk about Gina, Layla, Darla sound cards, Event 20/20 monitors, Rode mics..."
hehe :D

event forum isnt the event forum..

its basically being used by singers...take a look. the best place for it is here now

I use them, I like them.

Are they the actives or passives?

If it's actives for $300, GRAB 'EM.

passives

i have a samson servo 120 power amp since it has a headphone jack with speaker switch off it should work well for the events and headphone monitoring

I have a pair of the passives and they translate very well. For $300 they're pretty tough to beat IMO.

Darryl.....
