lol...i'm not sure. it feels kind of weird having, what is it, 11's? as the bottom strings, and then 10's as the top? it just feels odd i suppose. but you're right, i have to give them a chance. hmm..

Wow zaph knows his strings. I never put much thought into them. I went with boomers because they were the in thing at the time. I've liked them. They stretch and tune up fairly quickly for me. I'll have to check out the tone falling off quickly thing. Maybe it's time to try other ones.

I use 10's. I tried heavier during my SRV period but always come back to 10s. I don't have monster hands like him so 10s it is.

I'm sick of Super Bullets/250s and Ernie Balls, looking into Boomers and Dean Markleys. I'm interested. Next time I go to Guitar Center (local shop only carries Ernies...) I think I'll pick up a pack or two of Markleys.

Man...I don't get it. I use Ernie Balls (Regular Slinky, not SUPER Slinky 10-46) on all my electrics and I love 'em. They hang on to tone longer than I have a right to expect, and they never break.

Of course, I have been told that I have a very gentle touch...

yeah, honestly, i really liked the slinkies...and maybe it's because i played that guitar nonstop for like 3 weeks straight since i JUST got it. and it did break when i was doing a preeeetty rough bend on the 2nd fret, and i do play pretty hard. idk though....i'm not really digging these hybrids. i think over the weekend i'm going to pick up some regular 10's in boomers, and just replace the EAD strings. atleast then i'll have fresh GBE strings in the package, then have EAD's to replace on my strat that uses 11's. bah! lol
