Equip questions

Im barely getting into the home studio envirement, Im a solo recording artist, I plan on only recording vocals since Im a rapper/hip hop artist. I got as MXL V69 mic, MXL PS-69 preamp, with a M-Audio Fast Track Pro. One of my questions is am I in need of a mixer since I am only using one port really or would it be wise to still invest in one? And reasons for it would be great and other equip that might be good and still some what in same prices range for my purposes would be nice.

You probably don't need a mixer. Not unless you want to mix out the box, which you would need more outputs anyways, or you need more inputs. However, you stated just 1 instrument, so you should be straight. If you want better quality spend more money.

Ahh figured as much. So would there be anymore hardware I should look into that might be useful in the log run? Any EQ stuff or anything like that I should look into?
