Any help is greatly appreciated . . . .

I have been jumping back and forth between Track EQ and Graphic EQ and Parametric EQ and Paragraphic EQ

Whew!!!!

I finally have a mix that I think is . . . "good" . . . at least its better than the all the other ones that I have done on this particular song.

I suppose (please correct me if I am wrong) that using all these EQ's is merely a matter of TASTE. That is to say, there is no specific "setting" that will miraculously WORK for everything?

right, no rules

I would say first find some information about your vocals

1. On band number one, make it as steep as possible and start moving it up to higher frequencies until you hear a difference. Remember where that point is. Now keep going and see if it sounds better as you keep ducking the bottom out

2. On band number four, do the opposite, this time going DOWN in frequency

3. On one of the middle bands, make the bandwidth very narrow, set the gain to like plus 9dB and then sweep the frequencies up and down for a few minutes. Make a note of frequencies that really sound awful and remember to turn them down later. Make a note of frequencies that seem to enhance the vocal and turn them up later.
