Another brick in the wall
All of my EQs top out at 16k, are there any that go up to 20k?

Why? You thinking of producing stuff that only dogs will hear?

They make a Plugin that duplicates a dog whistle. LOL

No but seriously, 20k ?

Hey I once read a long time ago about how someone used a 20k or so freq at a loud db with monitors or something on opposite sides ,with some type of phasing or technique, etc and at the center between the 2 speakers, the freq would light a cigarette. LOL LOL

They were in some lab or something I think.

any comments Bear? LOL

No, not mastering for dogs, I just have some old recordings I got from my friend that I'm trying to clean up and there's some noise above 16k that I want to try to get rid of.

Cool Cool !!

Can you hear it or are you seeing it with a SA?

I ran it through a frequency analyzer, but it only goes up to 16k. I think I might have worded my origional question wrong, I don't need to eq 20k, but just a little over 16k.

Actually a Weiss EQ1 will go up to 20k, but it's usually used to cut in order to help prevent aliasing artifacts.

Have you tried using some sort of noise reduction? Im not sure entirely, but if the noise is generally treated differently that what an EQ is used for. If you do have sorm sort of NR plug you can check. Then you can isolate the noise more accurately and reduce it significantly. CEP2 lets you create a noise profile for reduction purposes. Be warned that it will remove a little above and below the offending frequency and the overall content will be a little more drab afterwards.

Haha, I just use a de-esser when it comes to that. But, in Nuendo/Cubase the EQs got up to 20K
