Epiphone Valve Junior Combo

Hi guys... I´m planning to buy a new combo for recording some stuff at home.
I was wondering if there´s any way to use the combo version with an external speaker...

I see that speaker out of the amp is 4 ohm, and all the speaker that i know are 8 ohm... (I´m planning to use it with a 1x12, so i can´t use 2 8ohm speaker in parallel)... Am i missing something?

BTW, Head version is not available in my country...

Generally speaking, you can use anything over 4 ohms, you just can use anything under (ie 2 ohms).

I own a Valve Special combo, and it has an 8 ohm min speaker output. I power 2 12's with it. You can get a USED Special off ebay for what a NEW Junior combo would cost, and its a little more versatile than the Junior since it has seperate gain/master volume, and the reverb is not bad.

The output transformers on these amps aren't very stout at all. I wouldn't use anything but a 4 ohm load, My OT blew after about 20 hours of use. (at 4 ohms)

Using an 8 ohm load will not stress the OT more than a 4 ohm load would.
