Hey everyone. I have a very special offer I'm only making here and on RP. I will not go to Ebay with this guitar and I will not offer it anywhere else. The reason is that I consider this guitar one of the ultimate recording guitars that exists, and I always read about people looking for something just like this. So here it is.
The general. This is an Epi Les Paul Standard in black. It was built at the newer facility which is making a better quality guitar than previous Samick made Epis. It's a 2002. It comes with the Epi hard shell case made for it.
The good. This guitar has nearly every possible upgrade you can make to a Les Paul. Gibson Burstbucker #1 and #2 pickups, upgraded wiring kit from RS Guitarworks, Grover tuners (the nice ones), and very importantly, a professional setup. Not done by me, but by a touring guitar tech. It was set up with 10's for a hard strummer with a heavy pick, ME. No buzzing anywhere and I can fly across the fretboard.
I did two almost identical looking guitars at the same time. This and my black Gibson LP Custom. I changed all the same things on both of them so I would have basicaly a very expensive guitar and a less expensive clone of it. This guitar sounds and plays better than nearly any Paul I have played at any price. It sounds identical to it's Custom brother. And it looks close. It is the best sounding guitar you will ever find for the price I am sure of it.
The bad. I got this guitar with a finish blem. It has a finish check on the headstock running right through the "Epiphone" inlay. You have to turn the guitar in just the perfect light to see it, but it is there. I will get a good picture of it with a flash so you can see it up close. I think they didn't let the paint properly dry at the factory or something. Anyways, it is graded a second because of that. And there are little tiny swirls in the finish all over the body, very light and not through the finish anywhere. They could be buffed out if it bothered you, but I do not even notice it. I just say everything in detail for full disclosure.
I will tell you up front exactly what it cost me. I paid $305 for the guitar itself with case, $140 for 2 Gibson Burstbucker pickups, $45 for the tuners, and $80 for the setup. It is strung with my favorite Snake Oil Strings.
This guitar is the ultimate value in-studio Les Paul. Just what I know several people want. I guarantee it. In writing...right here. If you buy it from me and it isn't everything you have read, return it for a full refund less shipping costs. That's as good a guarantee as you will find anywhere.
The total cost to you $400. First to it gets it.
Lots of pictures to come.
