If you've worked on a real console/mixer before, then it will make sense to you. It's easy to get up and running, but I could see it being confusing for someone with no prior console/mixer experience.

Now I've used a Motu 828 they seem to have that routing thing down better than the patchmix nightmare I've been dealing with here.

Have you compared EMU's to the M-audios and Edirol products? Or is this a case of you being patently unqualified to make that statement?

Fair enough, I'm referring specifically to the "M" series, as those are the only ones I have experience with.
And yes, I have used Maudio and Edirol products. I would not have made the statements I did otherwise.
With the one qualifier, I am qualified to make the statement I did, whereas you still are not.
I am NOT trying to be a smartass here, but it does irk me when people make statements like that where they have no exerience with the gear in question.

I said "I doubt". I did not say anything categorically. There is a difference, and I have been very careful to state where I have direct knowledge and where I don't. I'm sorry if you cannot see the difference.
And i have told you twice now that I do not have hands on knowledge of the RME product, I never implied I did.
And I still DOUBT there is anything better. There may be something with a gentler learning curve, or something that fits your current work flow, whatever.
