Emu 1820m and Tascam FW1884

I just had a few questions about this comb. I currently have emu1820m with c4. and I love it. I am now looking for a good control surface to mix. and I was looking at the MCU but for the same price I seen the FW1884. If I were to get this would I hook up the firewire to my firewire on computer or on 1820 card, and the midi go to 1820? Does anyone else have this setup?
 
no real need for asio4all... the tascam driver seems real stable for me... with cubase4...
 
So when I hook up my equipment to the 1884 and its my master,control surface, could I use the 1820m for the extra inputs by connecting it via ADAT? Thanks.
 
yeah if it's got the adat port... but you'll be limited to half the track count if it's running at 88.2-98K...
