I just bought a used copy of emagic logic audio platinmum pro 4.0 and installed it but
I can't get any audio from it. I think I have
all my audio setup correct. I have the trimmed down version (adat edit) which I have
no trouble with. Anybody using platinum pro
have any suggestions?

The problem may be in your audio setup. Logic 4.0 and beyond has a program called Logic Audio Device Setup (LADS). The program is separate from the main sequencer/audio recording program. Check LADS to make sure that the appropriate soundcard is selected. Adjust as necessary. Hopefully, this will help.

Have tried that yet to no avail. Tried many
different settings and can get no audio. Also
I sometimes get a not enough memory when I
try and load a song. I have cool edit pro,
cakewalk 9.0, sound forge, cubase, etc and
never have these problems with them. I would
like to use the platinum pro because it is
the software package I would have to do the
least homework on since I know adat edit so
well but whatever will be will be.

dragonworks: We're in the same boat dude. I've used cool edit, sound forge, cakewalk, etc without problems but I could never get logic audio to play/record audio.

Once you get it set up it's a great program but it's just really difficult to figure out (as it seems for a lot of emagic stuff)

Good luck.

Since I dont know what a dongle is I
probably dont need one. Thanx anyway.

A dongle is a hardware enabler which you plug in the back of your 'pooter (erm, serial port?) like for cubase VST - I was talking to someone who's used the new logics and he seemed to think they use one...but, of course, things may be different this side of the big A.
