Eliminating sounds below certain db levels.

Hey all. What I am trying to do here in AA1.5 is simple, but I have lost my memory I think.....haha .

I am going through the snare drum track, etc, and I want to delete everything below the levels where the snare is hit. I just want the snare in the track, nothing else. Is there a setting somewhere that I do this in, instead of going through and deleting between every snare hit.

All help would be greatly appreciated.

or just roll off via eq...thats what I do

What do you mean by roll off eq?
As in just leave the track as is and use eq to try and bring out just the snare?
