I figured out who the douche bag is!
I watched my user profile for new negative reps, and watched the post to see who was viewing it, refreshing both windows. There was only one user viewing it at the time. This user's profile stated they were viewing this thread at 13:15, this negative rep showed up at 13:16.

and yes, its obviously more than one, or else he wouldnt be able to flame so many ppl over and over again

I found this thread very interesting and it took a fair amount of googling to find a source that sells the unit. The EH unit is interesting to say the least and is worth investigating.

I'm torn about what to do in this situation. I'd love to blow the whistle on this guy and have us all just go flame crazy on him, but all that will probably accomplish is more of the same type of behavior.
I suppose reporting him is an option, but really, the more I think about it, the dumber this whole rep thing is anyway. It's not like anyone who comes here for advice is going to ignore someone who has been here for years but has zero rep.
That being said, I'm going to keep an eye on my profile and this post and others. If I catch anyone else, I'm posting the name. Now that I've given fair warning, anything goes.
