Holy sh*t! $50 for a cassette tape! I love my cassette 4-trackers as much as the next guy, but I'm just not willing to pay any more than $5 for a cassette, and that's worst case scenario.

Those TEAC tapes with the metal reels are pretty rare, but yeah, too much. I've noticed Ebay sellers are selling brand new D90s that you can find in any dollar store for a couple of bucks per tape now. Feckin' vultures! Glad I stocked up on tape a couple of years ago.

I got 20 new tdk sm10s for $1.80 each...seemed like a decent deal?? Dunno why, bought a tape deck too ;)

That is insane. But not to the person that wins the auction ! However, a bargain it is not.

Wow, I remember seeing an auction on shopgoodwill.com that was around the same price, but that was for about 50 type IV cassettes, but this is even more insane...

The starting bid was $362. WTF? Damn, I'm going down to freegeek and look for 8mm dat tapes. Maybe I can make a fortune on "rare vintage computer tapes..."

Maybe they accidentally put the . in the wrong place and the first bidder thought "well, OK !" and rather than say "Actually, I meant to start the bidding at $3.62" or even $36.02, the seller just went with it ! :D

Thatz...

Nutz!

Last time I spent $475 on tapes, I was getting about 450 tapes in the box! New tapes of many varieties from a dealer!
:spank::eek:;)

Wait for the argument, I reckon they thought it was 10 x boxes of 10 "NEW Teac CRC-90 TEN 10 PAK LOT Blank Cassette Recording Tapes tape metal reels" it reads a bit vague, later on down the description it says "Up for Auction Is a 10 Pak of the Teac CRC-90 Blank Cassette Recording Tape"

:eatpopcorn:
