E602 stripped clip thread

the thread on the clip of my sennheiser E602 is stripped. Does anyone know if sennheiser sells a replacement or if I can somehow get a clip to replace it? If push comes to shove I can always just tape the mic to the stand but I would rather get a new clip. This is particularly frustrating as I am also having trouble with my D112. Its as if the mic gods are trying to make me trigger!

They unfortunately don't sell replacement clips for the E602. Plus I am not the original owner so I have no warranty. Might epoxy one of these in place: Amazon.com: On Stage MA100 3/8-Inch Male to 5/8-Inch Female Mic Screw Adapter: Musical Instruments
Does anyone see any flaws with that? Or should that work well?

I think you're on the right track (or one of them anyway 'Glue in a 5/8" x 3/8, then convert back up to 5/8?

I thought I'd seen a 5/8m x 5/8fm somewhere, maybe not.
If found this place working up 'ac guitar mic mounts-- lots of fantastic solutions and stuff..

Thats a good idea. I am trying to get the ebay seller pay for it as he never stated that the clip was stripped. Any advice on dealing with a defensive dill-hole?

I always put a quick lock on all of my microphone clips. Never have to screw or unscrew them ever.

Those seem pretty sweet. If my studio wasn't something that generally gets built up and then torn down in my drummers house I might consider those. However setting up everything always takes a while so quick locks wouldn't change that much.
