Just to ask a super stupid question... have you looked at Reaper on a mac? I ask because since switching to reaper on my PC I have really ceased the plug and outboard shopping sprees. The free effects that come with Reaper are more than enough for me.

I did these two projects with just the free reaper effects (and some outboard compressors used during tracking)

Reaper for Mac is unavailable as far as I can tell. I have read reports that they have a beta version for mac that is good for tracking only. If there's anything more, I can't find it.
 
Please do, the faster you guys send bug reports, the faster the mac version catches up with the PC, the faster schwa gets motivated to make his plugins AU
