I'm finally getting to render some transfers and was wondering if this can be done:

As I didn't trim each piece when transferring, but left count-ins, etc,
How can I just render from the start of the music, without losing this content?

In other words, I would like to save whatever comes before, but don't want this in the rendered file.

render from a custom time range. Fill in the numbers based on the corresponding start at stop points you want..

As an alternative to filling in the numbers you can create a time selection by wiping along the ruler bar and then fine tuning the start and end points. Choose Time Selection in the Bounds box of the Render dialog.

I might drop markers where I want the start and end points to be so they are repeatable if needed.

click and drag over the timeline to highlight the song from tis beginning to end, then render 'selected area' on the render options.

Make the time selection, but the right-click the ruler area and do “create region from time selection”. Then you can choose regions in the render bounds.

On a related note, is there a better way to select from the beginning to the end without dragging across the whole song?

Ctrl+A to select all items then right-click the ruler and Create Time Selection from Items. I have that (selection from items) action set to Shift+. because it’s is handy in a lot of situations.

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to do what I want.
Shift/double-click seems to work, but not if you start after the beginning of the track.

If you want to render from beginning to end, just select Render .. Entire Project.
