I have CUBASE 3.7 on one computer -- for MIDI arrangements

I am in the process of building another DAW, but I'm thinking on
getting either CUBASE 5.1 or NUENDO, all I'd like to know is.

If I save my MIDI files on zip from the first computer
will the second computer read it in either 5.1 or NUENDO ?

Thank you

Thanks Mic, that really assures me (whewww)

Now I gotta just figure out which one to get

Cubase 5.1 or Nuendo, might lean toward the 5.1
being I have a : 2408MKII, Midiexpress XT 8x8 and that's solid
with computer 1 -- so to get NUENDO I think I'd have to purchase
other components to surfice.

But thanks for that important answer "NO PROBLEM"

No problem again mstudio!

In case you didn't know, Cubase VST has been replaced
with Cubase SX which is very much like Nuendo but with
more midi features. There was a deal that if you purchase
Cubase VST after March 1,2002 and before June 30,2002
(tomorrow), you can get a free upgrade to Cubase SX.
So after today the deal ends. I have VST 5.1 and have
upgraded to SX, but haven't installed it yet...With SX
you will need Win2k or WinXP and a fairly fast machine.
Some people are reporting problems with a XP/SX and
Motu combination, so be wary of that.

Hope that helps!

Mike

nuendo is better than 5.1 but lackes midi features... with nuendo you don't need to purchase anything extra.. there is a nuendo soundcard but you don't need it to run nuendo...
i run nuendo and Sx(which is nuendo with added features and strong midi). i think you'll like Sx..

The Nuendo components are very high-end. The soundcard is a re-badged RME Project Hammerfall DSP which is a truly superb soundcard and the better of the two AD_DA converters is a re-badged Apogee AD converter and they cost a fortune.
