Yeah I know this thread is way old

There is a hilarious video on google I think of some dude's interpretation of that "Sugar we're going down" song. Kind of what I thought when I heard it, "WTH is this retard singing? Catchy jibberish?" I'll see if I can find a link...

I would imagine they got the drum sound by using a good-sounding room and some expensive mics&preamps. Possibly even some samples.

I have no big problem with their Dance Dance song.

Now granted, some of the musicianship is OK. And some of the vocals are OK.
But most of the time its just sad sad lame crybaby vocals and ripped of punk riffs. Pathetic.

And what is with bands like My Chemical Romance? BLOOD? :confused:

I'm sort of glad my musical interest stayed between the 50's and early 90's.
If I hear one more lame "Nu-Metal" Band or one more fake ass Click 5 EMO band....... I'm gonna go get my teddy bear and hand gun and go on a rampage while sucking my thumb like all those other EMO FREAKS!

Wanna get a good drum sound? Get one to four mics and play around with placement on the Kick, Snare and two over heads.

Or hell go all Lenny Kravits and just use one mic and move it round the room till you hear a sound you like.

OK now I'm gonna go slap around the damn Grammy people for a few hours.
I'm off to cry like Aron Lewis or some EMO/SCREEMO/NU-METAL Wanna-be.
