Since english is not my first language, I'm not familiar with all the terms you use for the drums.

I mean, I know what you mean by tom, snare, kick, ride, hihat and symbals. I don't know what heads are and stuff like that. Is there somewhere I could find out about this so I can follow all the great discussions on drums here?

I'm not sure if you're looking in this direction, but a good source for percussion terms is the

Dictionary Of Percussion Terms (As Found In The Symphonic Repertoire).
Lang, Morris, & Larry Spivak.

It includes terms in a number of different languages. But as the title suggests, it is based on what is found in syphonic notation.

But to answer your question, heads are the skin part of drums that is removable/replaceable. It's the part you actually hit. The metal (or wood) part around the head that keeps it down is the "rim," and the screws that keep it in place are the "lugs"

Also, in English, cymbal is spelled with a "c"
