Drum machine mixing - tips?

Any tips for processing drum machine tracks? I am not after total realism - but are there things to keep in mind?

Just watch your levels so that thay don't clip>

If your drum machine supports it, you should use the stereo out and play with panning a bit for cymbol hits and such. Compresson and reverb still apply to fake drums as much as those tools do to real drums.
