Drum Machine for Boss Loop Station RC-20XL

I hope this is the right place to put this kind of post up.

I bought a Boss Loop Station RC-20Xl. It is a lot of fun and I want to be able to loop a drum beat that I can create on the spot.

It would be cool if they had some preprogrammed beats, but I really want to create it on the spot.

Where should I begin to look?

live drums?

maybe not quite exactly what you were wondering, but here's what I've done with my RC 20


mic'ed up the kit minimally (kick, snare, OH) and routed thru a tiny mixer ($40). Output the mixer into the RC 20, and I can create loops played live on my drumset. When you start overdubbing, you can do some really crazy stuff too.

Plus you can store a few loops on the RC 20, so you can reuse them later if you don't feel like recreating the whole thing....
