Hello again. To complete my home studio I am building a portable Drum/Guitar/Vocal booth. I will post pictures and descriptions of my progress.
To start off I woudl like to get some opinions. This is what I have so far. It is located in a 14'x14' room. The booth i am building is goign to be about 7' x 6'.

The green board you see is lined with 2'' of mineral wool and covered in a green cloth. The traps you see in tan are 4'' mineral wool bass traps. I am thinking about adding on top of the green absorber more 2''-4'' mineral wool. the board is about 7' wide. the gap you see throug hthe stairs woudl have the frames filled with mineral wool all the way up to the ceiling. Is this a good idea??

All of that info was for the front wall of the booth. the side walls will be portable. They are 4'x4' pieces of 1/2 inch particle board (covered in carpet). The carpet will be removed. I am thinking about putting 2 2'x4' pieces of mineral wool on the boards.

above the board that will have min wool I am thinking about just putting some leftover foam up, since the wood paneling is the exsiting wall.

Since the ceilign is drop tile, I am removing the tiles and putting 2'x2' pieces of 703. The only untreated part of the room will be the back "wall". It will jsut be a thick blanket, so the musician can get in the booth.

How does this sound???

Just found this while I was looking for info about building a drum room. Did you ever finish the booth, and if so how did it turn out? I'd be interested to hear about how you've put it to use, and the process of building it.
