Well basically I'm posting for my girlfriend who had the unfortunate experience of her SE Electronics SE2200 mounted on a microphone standard just falling over, thereby breaking one of the welded mounting pieces of the mics support. Now that can be fixed without too much of a problem. But what about the Condensor? It's still working, and does sound like it's ok. But she only had it for a few days when it happend, so both of us haven't really got a good idea on how it should sound.
When happens to a condensor mic if it is damaged? Can it be so subtle that it is damaged but not immediatly noticeable, or would you either expect it to work or sound like crap? More importantly maybe, is there a way to test this?
