And get out the tape measure and post some measurements (or did you do that and I am just missing it....?)

I mean, I see that it is a 22 foot ceiling (what I wouldn't give to have that "problem" (my proposed new studio space is barely 6 1/2 feet (yuck) but what I kinda dimensions are we talking?

Its a clip-on mic for brass/wind instruments, yeah. Fairly long gooseneck on it. I really want a clip-on one, since trumpet players don't stand still and I need a reasonably long gooseneck to deal with mutes.

I actually really liked the 418's sound on the trumpet, nice and sweet and clear, but it doesn't have a gooseneck (I think it is supposed to be a tom mic, really) which makes it useless when you put a mute in (the mic is then not in the direct line of the sound at all)

Any experience with that mic? I'm not going to buy it without hearing it, but I appreciate other comments.

I actually did pretty well in a garage with nothing but bare walls and Fiberglass (Glasswool?) insulation between the studs, but no sheetrock on top of that. did have a high celing and rafters that we hung mics from. LOL, as well as Egg foam, (Hey, It seems to work, and it was free)
