Hey all I'm probably a tad late to be puttin in an entry but I'm new to the site, and new to mixing for that matter. Tell me what ya think!

It is interesting to see the various bit rates people used when they created their MP3 file.
 
I honestl cant remember what size I encoded at but it ended up about 7+ meg. might have been VBR

I guess I did not mean for people to post what they did. :p I had made my post because I was looking at the detail from all the files I downloaded and I saw the range of rates people used. I know that the rate should not factor in on the final judging, but I wonder the correlation will be.

I agree they could come down a tad, but I would rather them stand out a little than buried.

Honestly, I would hate to be a judge on this contest. There are MANY GREAT mixes here.

Well, no. The band is no longer together. In fact, that is the reason they allowed me to use this song. I could ask one of them to judge, but I think they have already done enough by letting this song be used in the mix clinic, so I am just gonna leave it at that.

You could let the band hear the winning few mixes say the top 3 so they at least get to hear what folks on here have done to there mix, thats if they are interested that is!

That's basically why I won't even ask. They don't really care, as they have all moved on. That is the only reason this was available in the first place. It was cool of them to allow me to do this, leave it at that. :)
