When I create an audio track to record my midi tracks the tempo become crazy. The pace increases a lot.

Is there a setting I should be aware of in HomeStudio?

Perhaps my soundcard is the source of the problem ?

Or GigaStudio could mix up the settings ?

Will Batman save the city... ?

Serge,

I've had a similar problem with HS2002 when using the Loop function and clicking on the Tempo buttons. My current system is very modest Celeron 466/128MB RAM and I think that could well be the reason for misbehaviour.

Pedullist had a partial cure for my little anomoly, but I'm not sure about the tempo going crazy with respect to an audio track.

Time to call in the heavy guns I feel:

Pedullist! Wo sind sie?

I'm here, Bluesmeister...

Hi SergeD!

These are regular midi tracks? Or run through a softsynth?

Wow, Moskus...I'm impressed! :D

That could be the problem!

I usually know my stuff.... but sometimes not. ;)

Hi,

I think Midi Yoke is the responsable.

When the problem will be fixed (Or at least found) I will confirm.

Thanks,

Serge,

I have MIDI-Yoke installed on my PC for VSampler3 - but I also get the pitch and tempo wobblies with Edirol VSC DXi which totally ignores MID-Yoke.

What are your system specs?

Hi blues,

I use an Atlhon 1.3, Audiophile 2496, HS2002, GigaStudio(In fact GigaEdit because GigaStudio always crash), Midi Yoke and midi Ox.

To get my audio running ok I must change the tempo to half the speed (Ex: 118 -> 59), and not change the tempo in the tempo track. I'm not sure now that midi Yoke is the problem.

I will do some others test without Midi Yoke. Perhaps uninstall it because even it is not used it could alter the audio functions of the system.

Serge,

You don't have the dreaded Via chipset by any chance? I've read an awful lot about people having all sorts of problems with their DAWs and Via chipsets.

You're right on Blues, I have this infamous chipset. I will sure find a workaround solution when the time will be on my side.
