I did! I did! I did read the mixer thread! What can I say?

Dang, you made a steal!!

Do our crowd of local folks have the MM100? Eh,... no,... but that's a mixer that was built well & lasts a long time!! The price you got it for was absolutely a steal!! I've gotten Porta 02mkII's that cost more! At that rate, they should'a payed you to haul it away!!  ;)

Just that the company is striving to come out with better and better products, and keep the price down too.
More for Less? Right?

You mean the company is going "give more for take less" way?
It never works that way. Companies don't do that. If a company does it - it goes away fast. :) Companies rather do go "less for more" way, spending less for making more of something to sell. And that something will be sold for the price so it always looks like the buyer get more than in the past for paying less than in the past.
Even though it may look like the buyer get "more" for "less", especially when some "spin-master" puts together an "add" like this one... but the buyer gets relative less for relative more.
Sometimes you give up allot and get in exchage for it next to nothing... and that next to nothing-thing will be worthless sooner than your egg-up breakfast is ready. It will be so damn worthless - you can't even recicle it... there's nothing in it(well, maybe with exception for few in/out jacks and couple of LED(s) ... :p

TSR-8 Multitrack Recorder...
...is an economical spring-board into the world of professional multitrack recording. Perfect for independent musicians, small recording studios and post-production studios. Built in dbx noise reduction gives 10db more head-room and incredible 108db signal/noise ratio delivering near-CD recording quality.

Yup, I saw that too Doc, and thought it funny and pretty much reached the same conclusion as you: "Yep. Near-CD quality. That is true. .... So, From which side is it near? Not as bad as CD-quality but kind of close to it?". Hehe :D

It's actually pretty shocking that people were under the impression that a 16 bit CD can even compete with the resolution of a TSR-8 or similar machine.
