Gee, they must be hurting!

Anyway, this thread should be dead now. It's just a big argument between technicalities and laws and whatever.

Just save up and buy the software. For those that don't there are other places to go, like www.suprnova.org lol

I'm still laughing about the people that don't download mp3's. Oh "goody two shoes!!!" lol. I bought my last few cd's on the fact that I heard a few of their mp3's. That way you don't take a chance on buying music that you don't like. Mp3 and recording the song off the radio aren't much different. Mp3 loses it's brightness over the original recording. And besides, file swapping is legal here in Canada.

Everyone has their "panties up in a bunch" because of what they paid for their software and then others pirated it. It's not fair. Well, nothing's fair.

I hung some more bait out for you growlers. Bring it on! lol

Once again you guys miss the point of the stats. Forget about the profits made by the company.

Look at the jobs lost by software piracy.

Maybe you are to young to know anyone that has lost an IT job in the past couple of years, but I know dozens.

Well what pisses me off is in fact, the people like you who rip off the software which in turn drives the price up for people like myself ... who, I might add, busts his ass off to earn the $$ for the things I want and to support my family. Nobody handed me shit ... I worked for it.

Well stop fucking complaining, and look for free shit you whiny ass bitch.

And, might I add...
Any man who has a family to raise, and complains about having to bust his ass just to sopprt them, shouoldn't be spending $400 on some GODDAMN SOFTWARE HE CAN GET FOR FREE, instead his crying prideful ass should think about getting his shit in order, and take care of his family first.
Dont come the fuck on here with your hurt pride shit, noone fucking cares.
If you dont like having to bust your ass for nothing, and paying for shit like a dumbass you could have gotten for free, then rethink your ideas.
You remind me of this snobby ass kids back when I used to attend school.
"My shoes cost more than yours!"
But theyre the same shoes...?!

Fuck you, fuck your family, and fuck your whole monetary selfish unrealistic pride issues.

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously, or even listen to what you have to say if you use this sort of pointless attack on people. Please try to express your views without taking it down to the lowest form of an argument (which realy isnt in itself an argument, just abuse ... but im sure you get my point)

Kiss my white ass you dumb fuck. My family does come first, and I'm proud of myself for busting ass to provide for them and my musical desires.
Unlike some lame-ass wannabe's who think they are slick shit because they can hit up Kazaa for some cracked software.
My pride ain't hurt one bit. I can still afford to buy what I want. Why? Because I have morals, which I value and I'm willing to work for the things I want.
The only one I see crying is you. Must be because you are just to damned lazy to do anything constructive with your life that would enable you to have the kind of financial freedom I enjoy. Legally!
Ain't it a shame you pathetic dipshits can't download a MOTU 828mkII or a Digi002.
Enjoy your worthless life.

By the way .... all this talk of fucking me .... I'm flattered you show such an interest, but I'm happily involved with a wonderful woman. You might be able to hook up with Hector though.

? You cannot be serious. How can you document the loss of an IT job directly to piracy???

This being an election year, it's hard to resist... but is not India getting a huge amount of the IT jobs now, and it has everything to do with cheaper labor.

Then, I suppose, that could be linked to globalism (both sides of the political aisle are for globalism, so I can't shoot my pea shooter at anyone on this one, although I would like to).

Oh, btw... i still acknowledge theft as wrong... but nobody has commented on my main post (several pages back). Why do people allow the gov't to tax their license arrangements? Taxation means ownership. But you are not the owner of software that has a licensing arrangement.

Lastly... I think this is one of the most enjoyable threads (comical) I have read in a long time. Makes me think of the Hanson Brothers in the movie "Slapshot" with Paul Newman. Anybody here remember that one?

<wink>

Ouch, even I thought that was low!! :(

I didn't make those stats up. I found it doing a Google search. I have now idea how they document that...

As for jobs lost to India, Unfortunately that is obviously a whole different can of worms..

This whole thread is just plain stupid (although funny). I can't believe that we are arguing about if theft is really theft.

The following is MY opinion

I could not in good conscious steal a $1000 Cdn software program. If I couldn't afford it, I would buy the $400 program. If I couldn't afford that, I would buy the $99 program. If I couldn't afford that, I'd take up jogging as a hobby.

Being a musician is not a cheap hobby/career. Most of the arguments for cracked software that I've been reading give me the impression that they somehow feel that the world owes them just because they can play guitar.

If you wouldn't steal a guitar, why would you steal recording software ?

Call me holier than thou if you want. I call it having a different set of values that you.

Bottom line is, nothing you can say will change my mind and nothing I can say will change your mind.

Well, the eternal question: "isn't it cool that I can crack software and steal it?

Now, I would NEVER NEVER walk out of a store with stolen software in my jeans. That's just plain wrong! A person could get CAUGHT!

No, I prefer to steal stuff where I can't get caught and then rail about the faceless corporations who tempt me into it. My rationalizations can outyell your rationalizations, and don't you forget it."

What a bunch of [to quote Mr Bear] clueless fuckwits. There's an old saying that you never know a person's character unless you know what they do when they think nobody's watching.

Oh God, let's hope no-one knows my character...*Agent47 swiftly puts away box of Kleenex and copy of 'Dogs Monthly'*

can we add *has no willy* to the poll. i thikn that would degred him more as he probably has his brain in his pants. why else would he use cracked software!

I commented on your post, twice I believe. The second one addresses that taxes on products are unrelated to copyright and licensing arrangements. And actually you ARE the owner of the software, you just have to agree to abide by the licensing agreement that the company stipulates for owners of their products. I go into more detail if you want to go back and read it.

crankz1, don't let the troll get you down man. Your doing something more important than All-is-nothing can ever hope for, your raising kids who will grow to respect what is right, in spite of whether or not you can get away with doing something wrong, something that All-is-nothing obviously never had. It's sad when parents do such a poor job of raising their kids.

No sweat Bass ....
It would take much more than idle meaningless words typed into a forum to get me bent out of shape.
To me, our dim witted friend Mr. Nothing .... is exactly that .... Nothing!
Yet, I'm not one to go quietly. I will speak my mind when I deem necessary.

Rock On
